Because even in the 21st century we still seem unable to standardise sizing........

The Rio is a great blade for beginners, starting to paddle whitewater.

A higher surface area above the centre line on the blade makes for a great river running paddle that also helps increase the efficiency of your forward paddling. Werner are able to provide an impact and wear resistant blade that comes at a lower price, this is due to blade being injection moulded nylon, reinforced with fibreglass.

Standard Performance

For those that take a more casual approach to paddling, we still want you to experience the feel of a Werner Paddle on the water.

Dihedral Blade-Kayak

Dihedral blade shape as created to direct water to flow evenly off each side of the blade creating a smooth and stable stroke.

Asymmetrical Blade Shape

Asymmetrical kayak blades are designed for a balanced forward stroke by reducing the flutter on each stroke.
